Hello! I'm Joshua, a math and computer science student at the University of Wisconsin.

I'm an undergraduate researcher at the ADvanced Systems Laboratory (ADSL), working under John Shawger and Dr. Remzi Arpaci-Dusseau. Currently, I'm developing an inference scheduler that uses Hawkes processes to exploit self-excitement in agent patterns. My work improves GPU memory efficiency and fairness, reduces p99 latency, and is very enjoyable to work on.

This summer, I'm also interning at Voyager in Milwaukee, focused on optimizing backend performance. I'm also working on some sweet projects that you can check out in my writing.

Please feel free to reach out to me at ! I'm very interested in low-level programming, high performance systems, machine learning, stats, optimization, and much more.
